Campaign Poster Evaluation

I made this poster for my awareness campaign. I edit it on Photoshop with text and background. The background has a large crack meaning it involves reckless behavior or criminal offense. To add the background, I select ‘Place Embedded, I play around with it and then insert photo at the front. I add some of the texts details of what cause of antisocial. Also, I add the black eye and scars means that I got beaten/assaulted. I use ‘Burn Tool’ to add the features on the face including the scars, the color I choose is black. Also, I add the logo that shows the treatment for health issue like NHS Choices and the sign to ban drugs in a public.

Audio Production Evaluation

The purpose of the video was Foley Artist and Diegetic Sound. The different ways I got my sounds for my video that I upload the sound from files and download the music from YouTube by using the converter. The skills I have learned are converting music from the internet, video editing and sound recording. The equipment I use to record my voice was the sound recorder, I talk about myself similar like from the previous unit- the diversity, I then uploaded on the files and added to PremierPro. I edit the sound to make my voice moderate high, the music on the background was softer, I made it lower so the audience will hear my voice. I research about diegetic and non-diegetic sound gives me the information about the different sound. For example, diegetic sound is a source visible on screen, voices of characters, music represented and sound of objects in the film. Non-diegetic is source that is not present in the narrative universe. It creates mood music, no dialogue of characters, dramatic effects and narrator’s commentary. I went on creativeskillset to research about Foley Artist of what skills they produce the sound on the films. On PremierPro the other skill I have learn was Ken Burns effects to move the images, also I insert my own Foley Artist on the video.  This is the way I like it because it’s very effective and entertaining.  

Sound Research

The sound I used in the film diegetic and non-diegetic sound. I used the Foley Artist of footsteps. I got the sound from recording. I also got the music from the internet. I used the sounds to go for the horror images, like footsteps and growling. The music gives an entertainment feeling like joyful and lively. The skills i learn was converting the music from the internet as mp3 and editing the sound on PremierPro. I find the exporting the video a bit difficult but I got some help to set up the video to upload it on YouTube. In the future I am confident to it on my own.

I went on YouTube to pick the animation background. I have chose the night party background and then convert it to the Premiere Pro. I import the picture as Photoshop which makes the background transparent and place on animation background. Also, insert the film credit and bbfc, resize them and place on the middle. It was really fun choosing the animated background. It is very similar to the animated footage from the website that takes more than 50 seconds. The background is filled with stars and confetti.

The task that I’ve been ask to take a photo for the campaign . I set the image in RAW and iOS sensitivity on 400 for poster. I use a plain green background in Studio to create sinister emotion. The color green represent drugs like smoking weed. Also, I take a shot outside the background is dark that creates moodiness and depression. I use long lens and wide aperture to create the shots with no depths of field.

I have chosen this image because it will be suitable for the poster because this shows a sulky expression with a weed. The portrait was in landscape, a picture was edited in Lightroom to make it dramatic and creates atmosphere of anger, moody and far-reaching. The background color green represent drugs like smoking cannabis or sinister environment.

Diversity Evaluation

I done the diversity with Angela. I went to the studio to take various shots with a background a. After this, I record my voiceover about my personal life. On PremierePro, I edit my voice to make it louder, I even edit the videos to make 1 minute long. Also, I download the music from the internet as mp3. I find this topic clear and easy because I can able to edit the shots on PremierePro. The skills I learn are editing the sounds, taking shots and downloading music from the internet.

I went to the Studio to take pictures of myself. I use Studio Flash,  the camera was set to manual and then take a picture with a white background. After that, I upload the image on Photoshop, before I start editing  I search the image on Google related to my life or something that I am passion of. The image I am passion of is games. I save it on desktop and then upload it selecting Place Embbedded and blend the color to Screen. I prefer in color than black & white because it’s much brighter and suits my personality. I found the tutorial a bit complicated because it was my first time learning new technique, however it is fun blending the color and taking shots of myself. The technique is one of my strengths for photography, also I am capable of using Photoshop tools such as color blending and filter.

Horror Effects

I made the horror effect in Photoshop. It was quite hard at the beginning but at the end was easy. The technique I use is Place Embedded to place the background then I move the layer that was linked to the image place it between the background and background copy. I insert the image cat eyes. After I insert the image, I use Quick Selection Tool to get rid of the white background, then copy the same image and paste, resize them to place on my eyes. I insert another image the vampire fangs then Place Embedded on my layer and resize it. Then I use the Quick Selection Tool to get rid of the background and resize it to place on my mouth. Also I insert the wood texture place over my skin. Then I use opacity to fade the image to be a bit visible. Last but not least, I gently paint my eyes white to cover the bits. I am happy with my picture.

How effective was today’s research?

I looked up the different websites and artwork. I also look up the social campaign about the different types of awareness.

The research helps me with my own campaign because my campaign is about mental health and bullying. I manage to get the useful information relevant to my campaign.

Today’s task that we’ve been to take a picture of menace, disbursing and angry. The aperture was set on F5.6 and the color is set on monochrome makes the photograph black and white. The focal lens is 55 of how close I take the pictures, so I can get wide aperture.

On the editing stage in Lightroom, I edit the picture to make the light more dramatic. The color of background is dark that creates seriousness, moodiness and depression. The picture was taken around the college.

Today I shot the portrait shots that can be used for a poster campaign. I have chosen Antisocial behavior that relates to bullying. I use longer lens and wide aperture to create the shots without depths of field. I then edit some of the picture in Lightroom to make it more dramatic.

This picture was edited in Lightroom, to make it dramatic. The lighting is very soft and even that creates more seriousness. It was taken outside which was part of my campaign. I really happy with the results, they’re more dramatic than the original one because it create the atmosphere. This would effect my own campaign.

In Osman’s class, I was asked to pick the animation background on YouTube. I have chose the night party background and then convert it to the Premiere Pro. I import the picture as Photoshop which makes the setting transparent and place on animation background. Also, insert the film credit and bbfc, resize them and place on the middle. It was really fun choosing the animated background. It is very similar to the animated footage from the website that takes more than 50 seconds. The background is filled with stars and confetti.

 

Antisocial Behavior Campaign Movie

The campaign video was post on 14/06/2017. At first, I manage to get it done on PremierePro, however the clips were offline when I use the different version of PremierePro from the different classroom. I then finish on Angela’s class, I insert the company logo ‘FRANK’ that relates to drugs and behavioral problems. I also add the contact, includes email and phone number. The clips I got were from the MediaShare and import them to PremierePro. I cut out the bits, then I add the title for opening and ending credits. The video is 1 minute long, I successfully upload on YouTube and paste the link on the blogsite.

The Pitch

Evaluation

Last lesson, I was asked to be in the group for the pitch. The location we filmed is at the World of Work, the empty classroom. I presented the group about my campaign, talking about Antisocial Behavior. On the first slide, I plan a script for advertisement for Antisocial behavior, includes teenagers and drugs, the location will be outside. I show the mind map of antisocial which start from childhood to adulthood. It impacts on individuals, families, police, community and kids. I briefly talk about childhood which was the early start. On the 3rd slide, I show the signs and information what antisocial behavior, including Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD). Antisocial Personality Disorder (or sociopathy) is a mental condition, which a person has a long-term pattern of manipulating, exploiting, or violating the rights of others. This is a criminal behavior, which effect on the person to harm or threaten anyone. On the 1st slide, I planned the script for advertisement of Antisocial and drugs, I can plan it with my collogues to do the roleplay with cannabis and reforming behavior.

On the 4th slide, I show some images of types of antisocial includes child neglect, rowdy behavior and loud noises. Child abuse/neglect is the main reason of a child behaving unacceptable and disobedient. I show a bar chart, a key example of drugs and alcohol, including the effective behaviour and gang hanging around the street. The group ask some questions about antisocial behavior. I give information about young people about their unhealthy environment, uncontrollable actions and drug taking. In the future, I would produce the treatment of their antisocial prevent them of drug taking, hanging with wrong people, also telling the side of their story from childhood to adulthood.

The video is 4 minutes long, I find the topic quite interesting because we can introduce ourselves and what the campaign we chose.

Me, Myself and I

I learn about history of film posters, what is good or bad about them and symbols and bright colors, presented to deliver the message of film. I analyze the poster of two girls with ski masks and gun on the speedboat. The colors red represent passion and violent. Bright colors stands out and glows-in-the-dark. The poster targeted on young adults to encourage seeing the film. The words are very effective because of what is going to happen in the film such as the girls are ready for the fight.

Ken Burns Effects

I learnt how to do Ken Burns effects on Premier Pro. I learn how to move the images, clicking on motion, then playing around with the circles to set the position. After that, I inset my favorite music and voiceover. However, my voice seems to be a bit low, I manage to make my voice higher by dragging the line down. Also I make the music little bit lower so the audience can hear my voice. The effects are my new skills, I found it bit hard but was fun at the end.
